A $45 million renovation at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel will transform the hotel’s 1,100 guest rooms, Sheraton Club Lounge, meeting facilities, and lobby by the time it is completed next year. All guest rooms and suites will be furnished with work desks, ergonomic chairs, high-speed Internet, and flat-panel TVs. The hotel’s meeting space will receive new carpeting, wall coverings, furniture, and lighting. The Sheraton Club Lounge will be similarly upgraded. The lobby will be refurbished with the Link@Sheraton social hub, a relaxing space furnished with new seating, carpeting, and lighting, where guests can stay connected with Wi-Fi. “The comprehensive renovation to the Sheraton New Orleans underscores our commitment to attracting an even larger segment of the meetings and convention business in this vibrant city,” says Denise Coll, president of the North America Division for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc.
