Collinson Media & Events, in partnership with Meet Hawaii, completed the first Collaborate Hawaii in early January. The event took place on the Big Island and facilitated more than 900 meetings in pre-arranged appointments with 42 top-flight planners to bring business to Hawaii. The event was a great way to engage with Collinson’s corporate and incentive planners while reaching out to our valued suppliers.
The attendees left understanding what makes Hawaii a great fit for events. Naturally, the first thought is that the beaches and picturesque environment are among the islands’ best qualities, but it became clear Hawaii’s culture makes it a standout host. The attendees enjoyed learning about Aloha State’s rich history, beginning with the legendary King Kamehameha and its fabled lore about nightwalkers. Lessons included incorporating traditional Hawaiian customs like leis, luaus, and the ubiquitous ukulele music to transform meetings into unforgettable experiences.
