What I do: “I work on hotel sourcing for our brands and corporate functions. My role has evolved into managing our global hotel relations as a segment, group and transient, to better leverage our volume. I am also the category lead for Strategic Meetings Management implementation in our global affiliate offices.” And yes, attendees receive Estee Lauder products to test and understand them for the next season.

How she got here: Throughout her undergraduate career, Lee held executive board positions in her sorority. She discovered a natural love of planning after putting together national conferences for 100-plus attendees pro bono and decided to pursue it as a career. Prior to joining ELC, she developed production and on-site knowledge at STAMP Event Management where she worked on events like the Tony Awards.

Superstar stats: Lee evolved ELC’s Strategic Meetings Management program by driving an 18 percent year-over-year increase in meetings registered since 2013. She oversaw a total savings of $1.2 million in 2014 though sourcing, negotiations and leveraged supplier relationships and recorded 26.8 percent first-rate savings in 2015 for group programs.

Job perks: In less than two years, Lee has traveled to 18 countries. She also has become an Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair die-hard fan. “Literally everyone in my family asks for it for Christmas,” she shares.

Working on now: “Global SMM implementation is really thrilling to me. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. The fun aspect is getting into the market and understanding how business is done before working on a realistic implementation plan.”
