An outdoor pavilion will be part of the remodel.
A total renovation of its 340 guest rooms and public spaces is underway at Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island. The hotel, located on the South Carolina coast, is expected to complete the $30 million transformation this May. The remodeled guest rooms will have new custom furniture, including oversized desks, pullout sofas and ottomans, and balcony patio furniture. Updated living spaces will include a coffee nook with coffee makers and refrigerators. Guest bathrooms will also be updated with new vanities, fixtures, and wall and floor tile. The current meeting space will be renovated with new wall coverings, carpet, and light fixtures. The former office space will be converted into a 2,400 sq. ft. Junior ballroom, bringing the total area to 22,500 square feet. An outdoor pavilion will be remodeled with new countertops and patio furniture. The hotel lobby and atrium will be updated with new artwork and furniture and will be expanded to include an outdoor patio with courtyard seating. A new coffee bar and lounge area will add more public gathering spaces. The on-site restaurant will introduce a new dining area, The Porch, with a two-sided fireplace and wood-deck flooring. An update to the resort’s two pools and a new spa round out the renovation.
