The largest conference center in the Rocky Mountains is one of many reasons groups will want to consider Keystone Resort in central Colorado for their meetings. A 90-minute drive west of Denver, Keystone has 1,200 lodging units across three villages, each within a short walk or shuttle ride from the 64,000-sq.-ft. Conference center. The center has two ballrooms: The 19,800 sq. ft. Columbine Ballroom has a reception occupancy of nearly 2,100 and seats 2,250 theater-style. In contrast, the 16,000 sq. ft. Colorado Rockies Ballroom sits 1,800 theater-style and accommodates 1,620 banquets. A 3,950-sq.-ft. A rooftop patio is an outdoor option for summer events of up to 400.

Other venue options at the resort include the AAA Four-Diamond Keystone Lodge and Spa, a 152-room hotel with more than 10,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, a 5,700 sq. ft. Ballroom and more than 9,000 square feet of outdoor event space. Smaller groups will enjoy the intimate setting of The Inn at Keystone. The 103-room inn is accessible on a budget without skimping the amenities; it’s even within walking distance of the slopes. It offers nearly 3,300 square feet of meeting space, divided into four meeting rooms. Another meeting spot in the resort is the Warren Station Ballroom, a 2,805 sq. ft. opening with an additional 600 sq. ft. pre-function area.

The resort’s setting allows for fun group activities year-round, from a winter Olympics with competitions such as a snowshoe shuffle, Nordic express tubing challenge, and retro ski relay, to a summer bike building and racing contest. The resort even offers an “Amazing Race”-type adventure, where teams race across town to solve clues and compete in challenges, and a GPS road rally race, a fast-paced version of the typical scavenger hunt. Warm-weather attendees will enjoy kayaking and boating on Keystone Lake, which turns into the country’s most prominent outdoor groomed ice rink when the temperatures drop. Or, your group can enjoy the slopes day or night, as Keystone has the state’s largest night-skiing operation.
