Active Network launches planning tool
Planners can research meeting locations now with a new site-selection tool launched by Active Network. Meeting Locator, an online tool, delivers location advice based on information from Active’s StarCite Spend Management software and Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s database. The tool’s recommendations are based on thousands of variables including historical airfare and room rates, carbon emissions, and the cost and availability of telepresence for those unable to attend in person. It can identify locations for planners who must meet corporate goals for budget or sustainability. Supporting more than 100 currencies, the online tool can be used to organize events around the world.
The Meeting Locator tool is available as part of the Active’s StarCite strategic meetings management platform and is integrated within the StarCite Spend Management workflow and approval process. Active Network’s senior vice president of business solutions, JR Sherman, says additional capabilities will be released later this year. The tool is currently available to StarCite SMM customers.
