Gaylord Palms Renovation
A $50 million renovation has wrapped up at Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Fla. New meeting venues, revitalized guest rooms and an adults-only pool are part of the property makeover. Outdoor space includes the expansive 10,000-sq.-ft. Coquina Lawn, which can be turned into a private area for up to 1,000 guests, and South Beach, an area with private cabanas, oversized chairs and a stage that extends out over the pool. The resort has 400,000 square feet of meeting space, and the renovation adds two small offices with conference seating for up to 18. Networking events or conference dinners are popular at the two-level, Key West-inspired Wreckers Sports Bar, and when it’s time to call it a night, guests can rest easy in one of the resort’s more than 1,400 guest rooms, each of which now has upgraded beds, furniture and new flat-screen TVs.
