In the Works: Revel Atlantic City, Austin Marriott Marquis, Omni Dallas

Omni Dallas
The Omni Dallas Convention Center hotel will be the third Omni in the Dallas area when it opens in November. The biggest of the three, the hotel will have 1,001 guest rooms, including 67 luxury suites and three presidential suites. The rooms are large (400 square feet), have floor-to-ceiling windows, art created by local artists, LCD TVs and free Wi-Fi. The hotel has 110,000 square feet of meeting space and 39 meeting rooms, and is joined by a sky bridge to the Dallas Convention Center, which has more than 2.1 million square feet of meeting space. The $500 million hotel has outlined a sustainability plan aiming for LEED Silver certification for water conservation initiatives and reduced construction pollution.

Austin Marriott Marquis
Plans for a Marriott Marquis in downtown Austin, Texas, are moving forward. Construction is slated to begin in early 2012 on what will be the largest hotel in the capital city. Situated blocks from the convention center, the live music-filled Warehouse District and the 2nd Street District upscale shopping area, the hotel will have more than 103,000 square feet of meeting space. Its 1,003 guest rooms will bring Austin’s total to 7,000. The hotel is expected to be complete by late 2015.

Revel Atlantic City
Atlantic City’s boardwalk will soon be home to Revel, a massive 6.3 million-sq.-ft. resort located on a 20-acre site at the northern end of the boardwalk. The new 160,000-sq.-ft. convention space will serve as a beachfront entertainment destination that can accommodate groups, meetings and conferences. The $2.5 billion resort will offer entertainment, dining, retail and gaming in one modern, edgy package. Revel is scheduled for a 2012 opening.
